There is a divide among Chrisitans almost even steven where one camp
says there is a Hell and another camp says all people instantly go to
Heaven when they die. What do you think?

Maybe God doesn't punish but not everyone goes to any kind of heaven. For
instance there could be just unavoidable consequences to certain behaviour
which leads to somewhere else for a time or indefinitely.

Or maybe the afterlife is what you make it, much like this one is, perhaps
more so.

Would fear of Hell make Heaven more fun, or would it spoil our bliss with
sympathy for the punished?

What about Hell for an eternity? What would that even feel like? Would we
become aware of God's good will and great intelligence, or would he forever
remain the despicable bully?

Depends on what you mean by hell.
We all got to go through hell sometimes, it seems to me anyway.
It is just the daily grind, where we pay for a better tomorrow.
